Our Fast Track MCA / RYA non-command Yachtmaster Coastal Motor Module is designed for those:

  • who have sea miles in non-tidal areas such as the Mediterranean
  • have limited or no non-command experience


  • wish to get their MCA Deck Qualification

Designed by a Norwegian, living in Australia and built in Hong Kong the Island Gypsy trawler is perfect for training. She is a very sea worthy yacht and was extensively re-built in 2015 to offer the latest electronics as well as comfort.

How much does it cost

The cost of the 3 week module is £2500.

This includes:

  • RYA Yachtmaster Theory course in our purpose designed classroom
  • RYA Coastal Skipper Practical course over 6 days (rather than the RYA recommended 5 days - who likes to just do the minimum)
  • Yachtmaster preparation over 5 days
  • use of our motor yacht for the Yachtmaster Coastal exam
  • accommodation throughout your 3 weeks with us
  • breakfast and lunch
  • fuel (lots of schools don't include fuel but we don't like extras so why should you)
  • two one day courses (choose from VHF (SRC), RYA First Aid, Diesel Engine and RADAR)
