Last week we had another of our
Yachtmaster preparation weeks and are pleased to announce that both
Mike and
Paul passed their Yachtmaster exams - well done both! Mike was down to do the week, but with his ribs still being sore, Andy did much of the preparation. Peter (a RYA / MCA Examiner for Yachtmaster Sail) flew in from the UK to examine the candidates, and has just flown out to Seville to meet his friends there.
On the other yachts we had a mixture of Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper who were taught by Andrey, Sue and Simon.
Ivan and Tony have been in the classroom doing their Astro-navigation and are today off with Lee and Maggi back to the UK via the Azores.
A great
Sea Survival course was held by Andy on Friday both in our classroom and the local pool. We will now be running these courses every month so why not get in touch and book it in conjunction with a weeks sailing.
This week is unusual as some clients have stayed on, while some managed to fly home to northern Europe and Russia on Friday.
Five of this weeks clients have arrived, and are off with Andrey to Guimar. They plan to come back tomorrow so we can split the boats with the clients we are expecting tomorrow.
We'll have to see what the rest of the week brings.
A good website to view is
www.nats.co.uk for up to date airspace information for the UK.
