RYA School Boats

When you book an RYA sailing, motor or powerboat course you will be sailing on a yacht or RIB that has been inspected by the RYA.

Your yacht is also commercially registered for use (we recommend the RYA for commercial coding), and your instructors all work for us on a full time basis like Erica, Mike, Graham and Andy our Chief Instructor. Our other instructors work for us part time while doing other sailing like and Aidan (who like Andy teaches sail, motor and powerboat courses).

Please have a look at the yachts for more details.

Sailing Yachts

We have three different classes of sail boats and the amount you pay depends on the size of your cabin: 10m class - typically on this smaller Bavaria 37 there will only be 3 of you on board with the Instructor (even though we are licensed for 5 plus the instructor) as otherwise the cockpit is a little crowded, and only the forepeak is large enough to share; 12m class - our standard school yachts and include our Sun Odyssey 39i; Prima 38 and Dufour 40e - great for typically 4 on board as all the cabins comfortably sleep a couple and there is plenty of space in the saloon and the cockpit; 14m class - includes our Hanse 430e and Dufor 455. These spacious yachts have 3 or 4 large double cabins and at least two heads (one en-suite) for that extra luxury and space.
